Health promoting properties
I've been passionate about food for decades and have been lucky enough to have been paid to do what I really consider to be a favourite pastime. In the past I have worked as the cook at a privately owned Hall set in the Derbyshire countryside and at the six floor Knightsbridge residence of an overseas shipping magnate. I have in the past purchased ingredients from Harrods on a daily basis and sourced items from specialist food suppliers. Years later I lived in South America, shopping at the local food market and buying some the most incredible, flavoursome vegetables, fruits and herbs I have ever tasted.
As a cook I shopped and cooked on my employers food budget (extremely large) and as an enthusiast, on my own budget (very small indeed) and never lacked inspiration to come up with an appertising, flavour laden, nutritious, smile promoting meal.
On these pages I'll be sharing with you some of the great recipes and tips that I've come across over many years of cooking, researching and experimenting both professionally and for fun.
